"Gautam Solar Aims for 5 GW Capacity at Bhiwani Facility"

Gautam Solar, a prominent player in the solar module manufacturing sector, is gearing up to elevate its capabilities with the expansion of its solar module manufacturing capacity to 2 gigawatts (GW). The company has set an ambitious target of achieving a remarkable 5 GW capacity at its upcoming facility in Bhiwani, Haryana.

Currently operating four plants in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, with a combined capacity of 1 GW, Gautam Solar is strategically doubling down on its manufacturing capabilities. The company recently secured 50 acres in Bhiwani for its forthcoming manufacturing unit, initially equipped with a capacity of 1 GW.

Gautam Mohanka, Managing Director of Gautam Solar, shed light on the expansion plans, stating, “This expansion took more time as we had to finalize the land… for doubling our manufacturing capacity and add more capacities in the future.”

The company's strategic move aligns with the growing demand for solar solutions and renewable energy initiatives. The Bhiwani facility is expected to play a pivotal role in contributing to India's solar energy landscape.

Gautam Solar anticipates the commissioning of the new facility three months ahead of the targeted deadline set for December 2024. This expansion underscores the company's commitment to advancing its manufacturing capabilities, meeting the evolving demands of the renewable energy sector, and contributing significantly to India's renewable energy goals.
