Germany keen on quicker clearances for business projects.

Germany expects quicker clearances for business projects and level playing field for its companies looking to invest in India. The German side is likely to take up these issues with India during Chancellor Angela Merkel's visit from October 4.

The two countries are likely to sign agreements on other issues of common interest such as renewable energy, vocational training, Ganga cleaning, smart cities and high-speed trains during the high-profile visit.

'We expect concrete outcome on a number of issues in our relationship during the visit of the chancellor along with half of her Cabinet. We want concrete implementation steps once the decisions are taken. This is not to blame anybody. There are implementation problems everywhere,' Gunnar Denecke, head of division (South Asia), federal foreign office said.
