GNFC, EcoPhos tie up for DCP plant at Dahej in Bharuch.
Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GNFC) and Belgium's EcoPhos have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up a 150,000 MT per annum animal feed grade Di-Calcium Phosphate (DCP) plant at GNFC TDI Dahej in Bharuch in Gujarat.
'The MoU was signed by V S Sirohi, executive director, GNFC and Mohamed Takhim, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), EcoPhos in presence of Rajiv Kumar Gupta, managing director, GNFC and L Chuaungo, principal secretary, energy and petrochemical department, Gujarat government on August 30 at Gandhinagar,' a statement issued by GNFC said recently.
Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited. (GNFC) is a joint sector enterprise promoted by the Gujarat government and the Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(GSFC). It was set up in Bharuch in South Gujarat in 1976.
The collaboration, the statement said, is to incorporate a Joint Venture (JV) company to manufacture DCP. The statement did not elaborate at what investment the DCP plant would come up at Dahej.
