Godawari Power & Ispat Limited has made a significant stride in its operational efficiency by announcing the successful commissioning of a new high-efficiency 48 MW Power Turbine Generator. This state-of-the-art turbine, now synchronized with the grid, is operational at the Integrated Steel Plant located in the Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The installation of this new turbine marks the replacement of existing old turbines, signifying a technological upgrade that promises enhanced efficiency in power generation. The advanced features of the new turbine are expected to generate an additional 7 to 8 MW of electric power without consuming additional fuel. The surplus power generated will be utilized for captive consumption within the steel plant, subsequently reducing the reliance on external power from the grid.
