Govt: Complete Puri Projects in Time.
The Odisha State Government recently directed different departments to complete projects relating to Nabakalebar festival, to be held next year, in a time-bound manner.
Chief Secretary Gokul Chandra Pati asked the departments to prepare a weekly schedule of work related to railway line and national highway upgradation while reviewing the progress of projects. He said progress of work in the two projects should be reviewed every week.
Construction of roads leading to Puri, upgradation of railway platform at Puri, completion of NH-203, improvement of roads in the town, arrangements for traffic management and construction of parking places were also reviewed.
Official sources said work on road projects and NH is going on in full swing and will be completed on time. The bus stand in Puri will be completed by February next year while work on 10 buffer parking lots on NH-203 will be ready by December-end. Doubling of the railway track between Delang and Sakhigopal has been completed and work on Puri-Sakhigopal railway line will be started soon.
