Hartek Power connects 50MW solar project to Andhra Pradesh grid.

Chandigarh-based engineering, procurement and construction company Hartek Power said it has successfully connected a 50 MW solar project to the grid in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.

The scope of work of the 132/11 KVsubstation project involved complete turnkey solutions and post-inverter works covering design, engineering, installation and commissioning of the power plant's electrification and automation systems as well as pooling stations.

'Having achieved the target of connecting 250 MW solar projects to the grid by the end of 2015-16, we have now set out on a mission of executing substations for another 250 MW solar project by the end of the current financial year,' said Hartek Singh, chairman at Hartek Group. 'We uphold high quality standards and create immense value for our clients in terms of services and timely execution.'

The company is now looking for new opportunities in southern India, especially in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where the governments are proactive on the solar front. Andhra Pradesh recently invited bids for a 1,000 MW solar project in Kadapa district. In September last year, it had called bids for another 1,000 MW solar park. Telangana had last year invited bids for a 2,000 MW solar project.
