Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) has officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government for the establishment of a ₹3,000-crore Juice and Aerated Beverages facility in Rajkot, Gujarat. The announcement was made through an official release on Wednesday.
Set to kick off operations in 2026, this project is anticipated to contribute significantly to employment in the state, with the workforce expected to surpass 1,500. The upcoming facility in Rajkot will complement HCCB's existing facilities in Sanand (Ahmedabad district) and Goblej (Kheda district). HCCB's extensive network in Gujarat comprises around 285 distributors and over 2.24 lakh retailers, underlining the company's widespread presence and influence in the state.
The substantial investment is poised to establish a significant industrial presence, leading to considerable economic and social development in the region, as per the official release. In reciprocation, the Government of Gujarat has committed to offering comprehensive support to expedite HCCB's acquisition of all requisite permissions, registrations, approvals, and clearances in adherence to the state's policies and regulations, ensuring a time-bound process.
