"Hero Electric Resumes Production, Seeks Up to ₹200 Crore to Boost Output"

Hero Electric has resumed production at its factory starting in July, initially operating at a reduced scale with small batch scooter manufacturing. To ramp up production to previous levels, the company is seeking an infusion of ₹100-200 crore from both existing and new investors, including private equity funds.

The company has also addressed recent claims from a segment of its 800 dealers, who allege that Hero Electric owes ₹500 crore in advances for electric two-wheelers. According to sources, Hero Electric has rejected these claims, asserting that they are unfounded.
