Hero MotoCorp Announces Ambitious Global Expansion and New Models at EICMA 2024

Hero MotoCorp, the world's leading motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, has announced its plans to expand into the European and UK markets by late 2025, marking a significant step in its global growth strategy. At the EICMA 2024 event in Milan on November 5, Hero showcased four new models tailored for international markets: the VIDA Z electric scooter and three premium motorcycles—the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, and Karizma XMR 250.

The VIDA Z, Hero’s electric scooter, will be the first to launch in Europe, featuring a modular battery design with options from 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh, multiple charging modes, a removable battery, and connectivity via the MY VIDA App. Following this, the company plans to release high-capacity motorcycles, including the Xpulse 210 with its 210cc liquid-cooled engine producing 24.5 bhp and the Xtreme 250R and Karizma XMR 250, both powered by 250cc engines generating 30 PS.

In preparation for this European expansion, Hero has appointed key distributors: Pelpi International S.r.l. in Italy, Noria Motos SLU in Spain, GD France in France, and MotoGB UK in the United Kingdom. The company will leverage its Technology Centre in Germany (TCG) to support these efforts.

Currently, Hero MotoCorp operates in 48 countries, with eight manufacturing facilities worldwide, including six in India and additional locations in Colombia and Bangladesh.
