Hortonworks opens centre in Bengaluru.
Open source technology provider Hortonworks has opened its new centre in Bengaluru, with plans to hire 120 engineers. This centre will support the development and support to build software that can connect various devices.
“Organisations in Asia Pacific are increasingly looking to extract value from their data and leverage local resources to accelerate their journey. Our increased commitment to our offices in the region will strengthen our ability to support them,” said Kamal Brar, Vice-President and General Manager of Asia Pacific at Hortonworks. In India, Hortonworks sees growth opportunity and with this expansion it is looking to rapidly expand sales, consulting and support functions to serve the local market. Hortonworks works with 2,100 partners to drive open source technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Apache NiFi and Apache Spark.
