India Startup Foundation signs MoUs with T-Hub, TiE.

The India Startup Foundation (ISF) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs - Hyderabad), the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA), and start-up ecosystem enabler, T-Hub, to promote a robust ecosystem to create, incubate, fund, and mentorship in the region.

Addressing an investor connect conference on Thursday, ISF Chairperson and Convener J A Choudhary said the ISF, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from August 10 to 12, 2023, is expected to attract 10,000 start-ups and over 500 venture capital funds.

“We have three major categories – Idea Stage, Early Stage, and Growth Stage, where start-ups can compete,” he said.

The second edition of the ISF is being organised with the theme ‘Innovation at the Bottom of the Pyramid’, focusing on rural healthcare, education, Amritesh, food technology, and fintech.

“We have already witnessed 6,000 start-up registrations for the Bengaluru festival. We are expecting more in the next few weeks,” he said.

In the first edition, 18 start-ups were picked for mentorship and access to funding. The organisers said they would select 300 start-ups in the second edition.

T-Hub Chief Executive Officer M Srinivasa Rao said about 400-500 start-ups from Hyderabad are expected to take part in the ISF second edition.

To mark the ISF-2023, T-Hub and ISF organised an Investor Connect meet on Thursday, where a few start-ups pitched their products and solutions to investors.
