JDA proposes amendments in master plan 2025.

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is ready to provide relaxations in bylaws of master plan 2025 that will allow realtors to develop housing colonies in the U2 areas too.

JDA has proposed amendments in the master plan 2025 to allow the relaxations. As per the proposal, JDA will now allow developers to build a housing scheme on less than 10 acres of land in U2 areas. Earlier, in U2 area, colonies could be developed only on more than 10 hectares land.

A senior town planning official said, 'A proposal has been drafted to allow realtors to develop a housing scheme on less than 10 hectares. However, a final nod from the state government is awaited.'

The official further said, in the master plan 2025, the JDA has marked the area which is densely populated as U1. The U2 area is mostly rural where land is vacant and agricultural activities are not taking place. So far, the JDA has described land use till U2 area.

Official claimed the proposal has been mooted as the small land holders were not able to develop housing schemes, whereas big realtors were developing schemes and issuing land deeds on back dates.
