JICA Invests $40 Million to Support Small Businesses via Aavishkaar Capital.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has announced a $40 million investment in Aavishkaar Capital's 'Global Supply Chain Support Fund', aimed at boosting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Asia and Africa.

The investment was announced by Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba at the 'Economic Partnership in Indian Ocean - Africa Forum' in Yokohama, Japan. The forum was held in conjunction with the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9).

According to Aavishkaar, JICA’s investment will help the company expand its reach into new emerging markets in Africa and Asia, building on its existing presence in India. This move is expected to contribute to the development of the broader Indian Ocean region and strengthen the global supply chain. The funding will support businesses that are key to these regions' economic growth and stability.
