"JSW Renewable Energy Coated Ltd Finalizes Acquisition of Reliance Power's 45 MW Wind Project"
JSW Renewable Energy (Coated) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Neo Energy Limited and a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy, has successfully completed the acquisition of a 45 MW Wind-based Renewable Energy Project from Reliance Power Limited. The project is situated in Jath, Sangli District, Maharashtra.
The transaction has been finalized following the receipt of all necessary customary approvals. With this acquisition, JSW Energy's total locked-in generation capacity reaches 12.5 GW. This includes 7.2 GW of operational capacity, 2.6 GW under construction across wind, thermal, and hydro sectors, and Letters of Award/Letters of Intent for an additional 2.7 GW capacity from SECI (Solar Tranche XIII and Wind Tranche XVI), SJVN, and GUVNL.
Moreover, JSW Energy also possesses 3.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through battery energy storage systems and hydro pumped storage projects. The company has set an ambitious target of achieving 20 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030.
