KIOCL to operate two NMDC plants in Karnataka.

KIOCL Ltd. will operate and maintain iron ore beneficiation and pellet plants for NMDC at Donimalai in Karnataka.

Chairman and Managing Director of KIOCL Malay Chatterjee briefed this to Union Minister of State for Steel Vishnu Deo Sai when he met him in New Delhi.

According to a press statement by the company, KIOCL has got an edge over other public sector undertakings with an experience of running such plants for more than two decades. To begin with, NMDC's 1.89 million tonnes per annum beneficiation plant and 1.2 mtpa pellet plant have been finalised at Donimalai, it said. Chatterjee also told the Minister about various plans to enhance the production capacity of pellets to 14 mtpa.
