Kirloskar Oil Engines forays into farm machinery segment.

Kirloskar Oil Engines (KOEL) recently said it is entering into farm machinery segment, where the company will introduce a range of products which will help in increasing the crop yield.

The Pune-based company will manufacture 'smarter farm machines' at its plant in Kolhapur, Southern Maharashtra.

'Kirloskar has been associated with the Indian farming community for many decades. Our diesel pump sets are known for durability.

'We are planning to launch smart farm mechanisation machine soon, which not only will cater to the mechanisation needs but also ensure that farming is economically viable,' KOEL Vice-President (Strategy) and Head of Agri & Allied Business Antony Cherukara said in a release.
