The Vijayawada-based deemed institution KL University (KLU) will commence its academic programmes at its off campus centre in Hyderabad from this academic year with three engineering - ECE, Mechanical and Computer Science and MBA programme at its temporary campus.
The full-fledged campus of over 90 acres will come up by 2018 at Bachupally and it will be an institution with focus on being a truly international university, said Havish Lakshman Koneru, Vice-President of KL Education Foundation. “The world-class campus will have over 60 specialisation courses in Engineering, Medical, Management and Law education,” he said.
He said given the KLU’s 100 per cent placement record over the years and its commitment to quality, students will lap the opportunities. As of now 10,000 students from Hyderabad apply for KLU campus in Vijayawada, but Hyderabad campus will focus on attracting international students.
The course fee is ₹ 2 lakh in KLU and it is mandatory for the faculty to pursue their Ph.D. “Nearly 350 of our staff have PhDs and we focus on niche areas of research,” Mr. Havish said. The KLU offers several flexibility for students at both undergraduate and post-graduate level.
