KONE India Aims for Double-Digit YoY Growth, Sets Sights on Outpacing Economic Expansion: Amit Gossain.

KONE Elevators India, the Indian subsidiary of Finland’s KONE Corporation, is aiming for double-digit year-on-year growth, outpacing both industry standards and the broader economy. "If the economy grows at 6-7 percent annually, we will grow in double digits," said Amit Gossain, Managing Director of KONE Elevators India. The company’s growth strategy includes substantial investments in new product development and scaling production within India to drive competitive advantage.

With support from its international teams, KONE India is working to meet global standards and develop a unified product line. "We’re enhancing our product range and expanding factory operations while also setting up additional offices across India," Gossain noted, highlighting the company’s commitment to both product innovation and geographic expansion.

Digitalisation is also central to KONE's growth plan. The company is expanding its suite of connected services, including the KONE Mobility App, which aids operators and technicians in real-time maintenance and service tasks. The residential sector, contributing 70 percent of KONE India’s revenue, remains a primary focus as KONE India plans to grow in affordable and premium housing markets and expand into tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where rapid urbanisation is fueling demand for efficient vertical transportation.

Gossain emphasized that KONE’s growth strategy is multifaceted, focusing on developing smart, connected elevator solutions to meet the needs of modern urban living. By strengthening partnerships with real estate developers, KONE aims to integrate its solutions early in project timelines, fostering smoother project execution and long-term collaboration.

With operations in 140 countries, KONE has established a strong presence in escalators, travelators, and auto walks, serving a broad range of commercial and public infrastructure needs globally.
