Korean Firm Shoealls Proposes Health City and Shoe Manufacturing Facility in Telangana.

South Korean company Shoealla is seeking land in Telangana to establish a large-scale Health City and an advanced shoe manufacturing facility. The company has requested 2,000 acres for the Health City and 750 acres for a plant that will produce medical and smart footwear, including chip-embedded soles and shoes capable of generating 25 watts of electricity for every 10,000 steps.

Shoealla’s manufacturing plans include specialized footwear aimed at aiding individuals with diabetes and arthritis, alongside GPS-enabled shoes designed to track the location of children and the elderly. The smart footwear also features an alert system to notify family members in case of emergencies.

Chairman Cheonggn Lee and other Shoealla representatives met with Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu to present their proposal. The company plans to invest ₹300 crore in the project if 750 acres are allocated, potentially creating 87,000 jobs for both domestic and export markets.

The Health City proposal includes an additional 5,000-acre allotment, where global hospitals and biomedical centers would be located, fostering opportunities in supporting industries such as tanneries. Minister Babu assured that the proposal would receive priority evaluation for its potential to boost local industry and employment.
