Lalbaba Engineering Targets ₹2,500 Crore Revenue by FY27, Partners with German Firm in Joint Venture.
Kolkata-based engineering conglomerate Lalbaba Engineering Group aims to achieve ₹2,500 crore in revenue by FY27, driven by strong growth in its seamless tubes and forging businesses.
The company announced a 50:50 joint venture with German tube manufacturing giant Poppe+Potthoff to establish a ₹200 crore plant in Haryana for producing seamless tubes for the automobile sector.
“Haryana was chosen to be closer to our customers, including major automakers like Maruti and Honda,” said Amit Dhanuka, Director of Lalbaba Engineering. “If needed, we may expand to other automobile hubs in India or globally.”
In FY23, Lalbaba Engineering recorded ₹750 crore in revenue, with 60% coming from its tube business and 40% from forgings. The company expects to reach ₹1,000 crore in revenue this fiscal year.
“Our forging division has immense growth potential. We are confident about achieving the ₹2,500-crore mark by FY27,” Dhanuka added.
The company’s critical forgings and fabricated items serve industries including railways, defense, steel, and wagons.
