Lotte India to invest Rs. 300 crore in Haryana.

Lotte India Corporation Ltd., a subsidiary of Lotte Confectionery Company Ltd of Korea, will invest a sum of Rs. 300 crore at IMT Rohtak in Haryana for manufacturing snack and confectionery products.

The proposed project will generate direct and indirect employment for 700 people.

Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony at Rohtak, CEO of Lotte Confectionery, Yongsu Kim and Ambassador of Korea Republic Joongyu Lee thanked Haryana government for cooperation, saying that Haryana has emerged as a premier investment destination.

Lotte India Corporation Ltd. (LICL) is a subsidiary of Lotte Confectionery Company Ltd. of Korea, which is part of USD 74.9 billion Lotte Group. The Lotte Group took over erstwhile Parrys Confectionery Ltd from the Murugappa Group in 2004 and renamed the company as Lotte India Corporation Limited.
