Maharashtra Inks MoU with Google to Leverage AI

The Maharashtra Government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for fostering new opportunities in the state's growth and development. The agreement was signed by Sanjay Gupta, Country Head of Google India, and Nitin Kareer, Chief Secretary of the Maharashtra government.

Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "This MoU is a bold step in advancing 'AIForMaharashtra'. Google's AI leadership and technology expertise will help the Maharashtra Government unlock new possibilities in the State's growth and development." He further emphasized the significance of AI in driving prosperity, equity, and sustainability, envisioning a more promising future for the state through this partnership with Google.

Google India echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the potential of technology to deliver extensive benefits to the economy, society, and individuals. The collaboration aims to harness AI solutions that empower citizens, create fresh opportunities, and cultivate a thriving innovation ecosystem in Maharashtra.
