Major Expansion: IHCL and Ambuja Neotia to Develop 15 New Properties.
Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) recently announced a significant expansion of its partnership with the Kolkata-based Ambuja Neotia group, with the signing of 15 new hotels and resorts. This ambitious collaboration will see the properties emerge across West Bengal, Sikkim, and Himachal Pradesh over the next five years.
The move aligns with IHCL's strategic goal to strengthen its presence in East and North-East India, tapping into the region's growing tourism potential. The new developments will comprise a mix of brownfield conversions and greenfield properties.
While the specific designs for the hotels are yet to be finalized, Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman of the Ambuja Neotia group, indicated that the total investment for these projects could be in the range of ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 crore.
This expanded alliance underscores the commitment of both IHCL and Ambuja Neotia to enhance hospitality offerings and drive economic growth in key tourist destinations.
