MCG revises plan, now proposes two U-shaped underpasses near IFFCO Chowk.

In keeping with its track record of making plans and then modifying them, the MCG has proposed a radical change in the design of upcoming underpass at IFFCO Chowk.

In a meeting with the project consultant, officials from NHAI and Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS), MCG commissioner Praveen Kumar selected a model that appeared unconventional to many officials within his department.

The consultant had come up with four design proposal to de-congest one of the biggest choke points that connects the two sides of the expressway.

The new plan, which MCG claimed was final, does away with the idea of an underpass at the existing intersection. Instead, two U-shape underpasses will be built on both ends of the IFFCO flyover.
