MNCs, Indian cos to invest Rs 1,62,079 cr in Rajasthan
New Delhi: Leading Indian and multinational companies have pledged a total investment of Rs 1,62,079 crore during the just-concluded ‘Resurgent Rajasthan partnership summit’ in Jaipur.
Aimed at transforming the desert State into an investment location, the summit saw a total of 295 memoranda of understanding being signed in sectors such as agriculture, education, power, healthcare, industries, IT and Communication, mines, SEZ, technical education and tourism.
Investment destination
According to an official release, the Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ms Vasundhara Raje, presented a case for emergence of the State as a potential investment destination. “Rajasthan is poised to step into a bright future. I urge all our partners; industry, people of Rajasthan and media to come together and seize the opportunity to realise inclusive development and high-growth for our beautiful State,” she said
Focus
Assuring the investors, the State Industries Minister, Mr Narpat Singh Rajvi, said, “Rapid industrialisation is the stated priority of our Government and we are committed to provide an environment that is business-friendly and enabling in nature.”
