Mumbai International Bamboo Summit: ₹20,000 Crore in MoUs Expected,

The International Bamboo Summit, set to begin in Mumbai on September 18, is expected to see the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth a massive ₹20,000 crore, officials announced recently.

The two-day summit, organized by the Phoenix Foundation and the state government's think tank Maharashtra Institution for Transformation (MITRA), will take place at the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre to coincide with International Bamboo Day.

According to Pasha Patel, Chairman of the State Agricultural Price Commission, the event will serve as a key platform bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, including experts, researchers, entrepreneurs, farmers, and policymakers from both India and overseas. The summit aims to boost the bamboo industry through new agreements and collaborations.
