Naidu to lay stone for admin city on Sept. 30.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lay a foundation stone for Administrative City, one of the nine thematic cities envisaged in Capital city Amaravati, on September 30 coinciding with Vijaya Dasami of Dasara festivities. The government has drawn up plans to complete construction of the Administrative City by March 31, 2019.
Mr. Naidu reviewed the progress of the infrastructure projects for Amaravati, at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
CRDA Commissioner Ch. Sridhar told the Chief Minister that London-based Foster+ Partners would submit the final blueprints for the Assembly building by August 15 and for the High Court by August-end. An action plan was prepared to complte the construction of Administrative City. As many as 25 reputed national and international educational institutions were keen on establishing their branches in Amaravati. Of this, 14 attended a workshop conducted recently, he said.
As many as 16 reputed star hotels are interested in launching their operations in Amaravati. For Capital city, at least 20,000 rooms accommodation was required. However, only 2,500 were available, he said.
