Narendra Modi inaugurates 44MW Chutak hydro power project in Kargil.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 44 MW hydro power project at Chutak village in Kargil district on Tuesday. Modi arrived in Kargil as part of his official trip to Jammu and Kashmir, after inaugurating the 45 MW Nimoo-Bazgo hydroelectric power project in Leh. Earlier in the day, Modi also addressed a rally in Leh and came out strongly against Pakistan for continuing its proxy war of terrorism against India, saying it has lost the strength to fight a conventional war. The prime minister is on a day long visit in the valley. The Prime Minister is accompanied by Union power minister Piyush Goyal and national security advisor Ajit Doval.
