Nepal to get fund from Finland

Kathmandu: Finland has agreed to provide grant assistance worth Rs 1408.365 million to the Government of Nepal for the implementation of Strengthening of Environmental Administration and Management at the local level (SEAM-N) and Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Western Nepal (RWSSP-WN).

Joint-secretary at Finance Ministry Krishna Gyawali and charge d’affaires at the Embassy of Finland, Pirkko Liisa Kyostila, signed two separate agreements to this effect at Finance Ministry.

According to the agreement, Finland will provide a grant assistance of about Rs 373.345 million for the implementation of SEAM-N Phase II and around Rs 1035.02 million for the RWSSP-WN.

The first project will be implemented in Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Saptari, Siraha, Udayapur, Ilam, Panchthar and Dhankuta districts, according to the ministry.
