"NHPC Ltd Lays Foundation Stone for 300 MW Solar Power Plant in Rajasthan"

On 16th February 2024, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, virtually laid the foundation stone for a 300 MW Solar Power Plant situated at Village: Karnisar-Bhatiyan, Teh.: Poogal, District- Bikaner, Rajasthan. This momentous event marks a significant step towards bolstering India's renewable energy infrastructure.

The project, spearheaded by NHPC under the Government of India's CPSU Scheme, Phase-II, Tranche-III, entails a total investment exceeding Rs.1,732 Crore. Scheduled to be commissioned by September 2024, the solar power plant holds promise for providing clean and sustainable energy to the region, contributing to India's ambitious renewable energy targets.
