Nivea to set up manufacturing plant in Gujarat.

Nivea India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Beiersdorf, will be setting up its first manufacturing plant in India at Sanand, Gujarat on June 23.

Marking a long-term and determined commitment to grow its presence in India, Nivea's new plant is expected to be ready over three stages, over the next 12-14 months and will roll out the current product categories such as Nivea Body Care, Nivea Men, Nivea Creams, and Nivea Face Wash.

The brand is expected to make substantial investments in dermatological research and innovative technologies and local trend analyses to understand the skin and personal care needs in India.
