Nod for new solid waste treatment plant.

The Kochi Corporation council recently voted for establishing a solid waste treatment plant at Brahmapuram.

Though the LDF councillors demanded at the meeting that the agenda regarding the plant should be discussed at a special meeting of the council, Mayor Tony Chammany refused to budge. His arguments that the council needs to take a decision on the pressing issue of waste management and approve the agenda for setting up the plant at Brahmapuram without delay didn't find any takers from the Opposition camp.
