NTPC forms JV with Bihar State Electricity Board

New Delhi: Government-owned National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has formed a Joint Venture Company with Bihar State Electricity Board for setting-up of a coal based power project with a capacity of 1980 Mw (3 X 660 Mw).

The new company, with operations in Nabinagar (Aurangabad district) of Bihar, will be called 'Nabinagar Power Generating Company Pvt Ltd'.
