"NTPC Sets Target of 40 Million Metric Tons Coal Production for FY25"

State-owned power giant NTPC has announced its target of achieving a coal production of 40 million metric tonnes (MMT) from its captive mines for the fiscal year 2024-25, indicating a robust 17% year-on-year growth in captive coal production.

As of March 31, 2024, NTPC has already recorded a coal despatch of 34.15 MMT, with production figures standing at 34.38 MMT, signaling a strong performance in this sector.
