OBO Bettermann's Rs. 80 cr facility near Chennai.

OBO Bettermann, an Indo-German joint venture company, which manufactures electrical cable management and lightning protection products, will be inaugurating a new facility near Chennai.

Speaking to reporters recently, OBO Bettermann India's managing director S Gopa Kumar said the manufacturing unit was located at SIPCOT in Oragadam Industrial area. The company has so far invested around Rs. 80 crore in the facility. It expects the facility to generate Rs. 30 crore in the first year of operations, and Rs.70 crore in the next year.

'Further investments are under finalisation, which will enhance the total investment to 25 million Euro by 2017,' Kumar said, adding that a business strategy was in place to boost the revenues to 10 million Euro by 2015 and 25 million Euro 2020.
