Petronet LNG and Deepak Fertilisers Group Sign Long-Term Regasification Deal.
State-run Petronet LNG (PLL) announced Thursday it has signed a 5.5-year agreement with a subsidiary of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation (DFPCL) for the regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The contract, set to begin between May and July 2026, is with Performance Chemiserve (PCL), a subsidiary of Deepak Mining Solutions (DMSL), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DFPCL. This agreement will facilitate the regasification of LNG imported by the DFPCL group.
Under the terms of the deal, PLL will handle the reception, storage, and regasification of approximately 25.6 trillion British thermal units (TBTUs) of LNG annually at its Dahej terminal. This volume will be processed after an initial ramp-up period in calendar year 2026.
