PWD to construct multi-storey accommodations for judicial officers .
Multi-storey government accommodations will come up in two years at Rohini and Dwarka to accommodate judicial officers of different courts in Delhi. While the building plans have been approved by the Delhi Development Authority, the Public Works Department of the Delhi Government will construct the 'modernised' government housing complexes for which Rs. 89.53 crore has been allocated.
PWD Secretary Arun Baroka recently said 32 type- IV and 16 type- VI quarters will be constructed for judges at Rohini Sector-26 at a cost of Rs. 41.45 crore.
'The quarters will be in two blocks of nine storey. Both the blocks will have four lifts each. The quarters will have attached segment room. Parking facility has been provided in basement and ground floor. The technical bids for execution of the above work have been received. The work will commence soon and shall be completed in 24 months,' he said.
He said that PWD would construct another set of quarters for judges at Sector 19, Dwarka at a cost of Rs. 48.8 crore.
The PWD will construct quarters which will have four eight storeyed blocks, two six storeyed blocks, four 9 storeyed blocks and a stilt portion.
The work will commence soon and shall be completed in 24 months, Mr Baroka added.
