Raminfo bags telemedicine contract in AP.

Hyderabad-based e-governance solutions company Raminfo has bagged a project from the Health Department of Andhra Pradesh government that is expected to generate a turnover of Rs. 400 crore over the next five years.

The firm, in association with two partners, has won the project from the department for the standardisation of telemedicine facility at sub-centres in various districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The Phase-1 of the project will be rolled out over a period of five years. “We will be spending a capital expenditure of Rs. 150 crore to develop the infrastructure for the project,” L Srinath Reddy, Managing Director of Raminfo, said.

“This project will enable more patients to access high quality health services. As we seek to expand our business operation in the health care vertical, this project will get us exposure in this vertical,” he said.

The project is aimed at significantly reducing the time and effort for patients from rural areas in getting access to medical assistance from expert doctors.

“Rural patients have to travel long distances and incur additional expenses to have access to specialty medicare,” he said.
