Rebel Foods to Expand Wendy’s Footprint with 300 New Outlets in Three Years.

Wendy’s is expanding aggressively in India, its fastest-growing market in the Asia-Pacific region. Rebel Foods, the master franchise holder for Wendy’s in India, marked a milestone by opening the brand’s 200th outlet on Wednesday. The company now plans to more than double its presence, adding 300 new outlets over the next three years with an investment of ₹100-150 crore.

Chris Conway, Senior Vice-President for APMEA & Europe at Wendy’s, highlighted India’s strategic importance, stating, “India is the fastest-growing market for us in the region in terms of touchpoints and will play a major role in our expansion.”

Rebel Foods has been driving Wendy’s growth in India primarily through delivery-only outlets. Of the 200 locations across 50+ cities, 185 are cloud kitchens, while 15 are dine-in restaurants.

“This is one of the fastest expansions for a restaurant brand in India, reaching 200 outlets in just three years,” said Ankush Grover, Co-founder & CEO, India and MENA, Rebel Foods. “We aim to maintain this momentum, adding 300 more outlets. Going forward, 30% of the 500 restaurants will be dine-in, while the rest will remain delivery-focused.”

Rebel Foods, known for brands like Faasos, Behrouz Biryani, and Oven Story Pizza, operates over 450 cloud kitchens in 75 cities. The company recently launched its 15-minute food delivery platform, QuickiES, in Mumbai, which also features Wendy’s offerings, with plans for expansion into other top cities.
