RIL to pump Rs 1,79,000 crore in refining and petrochemical businesses

RIL is investing Rs 1,79,000 crore in its core refining and petrochemicals businesses through the next five years.
The company is planning to invest Rs 27,096 crore in the development of the Krishna-Godavari gas fields.
The company plans to invest 22,290.33 crore in its refining business over the next four years.
It will set up a petroleum coke gasification project to produce synthetic natural gas. This gas will replace expensive LNG as fuel.
Meanwhile, the company is planning to invest approx Rs 61,316 crore in oil and gas exploration division, including US shale gas venture.
