Road, drain projects for central Assam towns.

The Ministry of Urban Development has approved road and drain projects for Hojai and Lanka in central Assam's Nagaon district under the Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Town (UIDSSMT) at a total cost of Rs. 66.68 crore.

This was informed by Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Kamal Nath in a letter to Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

The union minister asked the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, to release funds to the Government of Assam, an official statement said.

The project cost for roads and drains under UIDSSMT for Hojai and Lanka has been approved at Rs. 37.74 crore and Rs. 28.93 crore respectively.
