Road widening on Metro routes to be expedited.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to concentrate on widening the roads wherever the metro rail construction is currently on in the core of the city.

Commissioner Somesh Kumar held a meeting with the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) officials led by the managing director N.V.S. Reddy to review the progress of land acquisition across the three metro corridors.

The officials were informed that of the 318 properties which are yet to be acquired on the three corridors where the construction is currently on 44 properties were taken over. Mr. Somesh Kumar wanted the planning, engineering and land acquisition officials to expedite the process of taking over the remaining properties and complete the paper work in the next two days.
