Rs. 125 cr tourism projects to be implemented in Puducherry.
As many as 25 tourism development projects would be launched by Puducherry Government during the current fiscal at a total outlay of Rs. 125 crore, Tourism Minister P.Rajavelu said.
They include beautification of the Oussudu lake, the Arikamedu site in view of its historical importance and also development of infrastructure in Yanam region, he told reporters.
A 24-day long Entertainment and Shopping Expo' was being held by the tourism department in association with various event management companies to attract large number of tourists, including foreigners, he said.
The Minister also said the government was in touch with Spicejet on reviving its flight services from the union territory capital.
There was also the need to expand the runway for which around 240 acres had to be arranged.
