Sify Infinit Spaces Begins Work on ₹1,500-Crore AI Edge Data Center and OCL Station in Visakhapatnam.

Sify Infinit Spaces, a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Sify Technologies, has officially begun construction of its state-of-the-art AI Edge Data Center and Open Cable Landing (OCL) Station in Visakhapatnam.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held recently, marked a significant milestone in the company’s expansion plans and underlined Visakhapatnam’s growing importance as a key digital hub on India’s eastern coast.

“Visakhapatnam is fast emerging as India’s global digital gateway on the eastern seaboard,” said Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, during the event.

The ₹1,500-crore project is expected to strengthen India's digital infrastructure, support AI-driven applications, and boost connectivity through subsea cable integration, reinforcing the city’s position in the global digital economy.
