Stone to be laid for Lulu Cyber Tower 2.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will lay the foundation stone for the Lulu Cyber Tower 2 at Infopark Campus soon.
Industry Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty will preside. Deputy leader of the Opposition Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will unveil the model of the cyber tower.
Lulu would invest about Rs. 350 crore to develop the Cyber Tower 2 for which a team of internationally renowned architects has already prepared a plan. The project, on completion, is expected to generate an additional employment up to 11,000, a release quoted Yusuff Ali M.A, managing director of Lulu Group. 'The construction of the cyber tower will be completed within 28 months in a time-bound manner. The new cyber tower will be environmental friendly and will adopt LEED certificate specification.'
The announcement of the Lulu Cyber Tower 2, which would spread over 13 lakh sq. ft. had already evoked interest among various IT companies.
Lulu group had earlier acquired the L&T Tech Park at Infopark campus for an amount of Rs. 150 crore, thus making total IT investment of Lulu Group at Rs. 500 crore. At present, about 4,000 techies are working in refurbished Lulu Cyber Tower 1, earlier known as Tejomaya, on a four lakh sq. ft area.
