"Suzlon Lands 100.8 MW Wind Power Project in Karnataka, Shares Gain 0.41%"

Suzlon Energy Ltd. witnessed a 0.41 per cent surge in its shares following the successful acquisition of a new order for a 100.8 MW wind power project in Karnataka. The order comes from a subsidiary of a Nordic Energy Company operating in India. The project entails the installation of 32 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with an individual rated capacity of 3.15 MW. Suzlon's largest turbine from the 3 MW series, the S144-140m, will be featured prominently in this endeavor.

Having secured a repeat order, Suzlon is poised to manage the entire project lifecycle, encompassing equipment supply, project supervision, and commissioning. Post-commissioning, the company will extend comprehensive operations and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of the Suzlon Group, highlighted the conducive policy environment, a robust domestic market, and a flourishing local supply chain as key factors contributing to India's attractiveness as a highly lucrative renewable energy market for investors and utilities. Tanti remarked, “The Suzlon 3 MW series is the next stage evolution of our proven technology, customized for the Indian wind regime, and 3.15 MW is one of the largest wind turbines in the country today.” This strategic move reinforces Suzlon's commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions tailored for the Indian market.
