Suzlon receives 197.40 MW repeat order from IPP company.

Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon said that it has received a 197.40 MW repeat order from a leading renewable energy Independent Power Producers (IPP) company. The order is for the installation of 47 wind turbines of S97-120 m hybrid tower and 47 wind turbines of S111-90 m tubular tower with rated capacity of 2.1 MW each and will be executed in the Anantpur district in Andhra Pradesh by February 2017.

Suzlon will offer operation and maintenance services for 12 years through an integrated service package. Ishwar Mangal, Chief Sales Officer, Suzlon EnergyBSE -1.15 % said, 'The repeat order reaffirms customer faith in our product portfolio, execution and service capabilities. The response for our new technology products, the S97-120 m 2.1 MW all-steel hybrid tower and S111-90 m has been encouraging. Suzlon has recently commissioned first wind power project in India of 50.40 MW located in Tejuva, Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) for the same customer.

The S97-120 m and S111-90 m turbines are the latest product variants introduced by Suzlon, and belong to the reliable and proven 2.1MW product platform. The products are part of the next generation product suite designed to unlock the potential of low wind sites.
