Tata Power Successfully Commissions Bifacial Solar System

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited witnessed a 4.33 percent increase in its shares following the successful commissioning of a cutting-edge 1040 kW Bifacial Solar System at Chengmari Tea Estate. The on-ground installation of bifacial modules, designed to capture sunlight from both sides of the panels for energy generation, marks a significant milestone for the company.

The ambitious project, involving the deployment of nearly 1,900 modules, was completed within a swift six-month timeframe, showcasing Tata Power's efficiency in implementing innovative renewable energy solutions. The newly commissioned solar system is expected to generate approximately 1.5 million units of energy annually, significantly contributing to the sustainable energy needs of the tea estate.

Deepesh Nanda, the Managing Director and CEO of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, expressed pride in the successful completion of this groundbreaking project. Nanda highlighted the significance of the Bifacial technology, emphasizing its ability to capture sunlight from both sides of the solar panels, thereby advancing clean energy generation.
