Telangana Approves ₹7,345 Crore Plan to Rejuvenate Musi River in First Phase.

The Telangana Cabinet recently approved the first phase of the Musi River Rejuvenation Project, aimed at transforming a 55-km stretch of the river into an iconic riverfront modelled on London’s Thames, with an outlay of ₹7,345 crore.

The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, also decided to approach the Supreme Court to resolve legal objections related to the project, which is a flagship initiative of the Chief Minister.

In addition to the riverfront development plan, the Cabinet cleared several other proposals, including the recruitment of 6,278 posts for the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences and the Warangal Super Speciality Hospital.

It also approved the extension of morning snacks and mid-day meals to around 1.50 lakh teachers and junior lecturers working in government schools and colleges across the state, among other welfare measures.
