"Telangana Government to Unveil Mega Master Plan-2050 for Industrial Development, Announces CM Revanth Reddy"
In a significant move towards advancing industrial growth across Telangana by 2050, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy revealed plans for a Mega Master Policy during a meeting with representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the Secretariat.
The forthcoming Mega Master Policy is envisioned to foster industrial expansion throughout the entire state, marking a departure from a Hyderabad-centric approach. Emphasizing the need for a 'new friendly policy,' CM Revanth Reddy assured prospective investors that every rupee invested in Telangana would be safeguarded and contribute to the enhanced value of their investments.
Underlining the government's commitment to broad-based industrial development, the policy outlines the creation of three distinct clusters within Telangana. An urban cluster will be developed within the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road (ORR), a semi-urban cluster between the ORR and the Regional Ring Road (RRR), and a rural cluster in the surrounding areas beyond the Regional Ring Road.
With a clear vision for promoting the pharmaceutical industry, CM Reddy announced the development of Pharma Villages instead of Pharma Cities. The proposed plan involves establishing pharmaceutical villages ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 acres along the 14 radial roads on the ORR, providing connectivity to 12 national highways. These villages will include necessary infrastructure and amenities, fostering a pollution-free environment.
In addition to pharmaceuticals, the policy envisions the establishment of clusters for food processing, sports automobiles, organics, IT, and health industries in Zaheerabad. CM Reddy highlighted Hyderabad's potential for manufacturing and producing defense equipment and urged investors to focus on this sector. Furthermore, a new solar power policy is set to be introduced, extending incentives to investors in the solar energy sector.
The Mega Master Plan-2050 reflects Telangana's commitment to inclusive industrial growth, prioritizing regional development and creating a conducive environment for diverse industries.
